Hello All,
In this challenging time, Sharon and I are praying that you are doing as well as possible and that you are staying healthy in the throes of COVID-19.
There is hope on the horizon. Reports state that the pandemic has begun to level off and our local economies are exploring how to best “reopen.” With this hope, we wanted to offer an update on HydroSide’s development process and related impacts from COVID-19.
Field Testing – Now targeted for late June 2020
Prior to the pandemic, we were on target to test our Automated Movers in late April/early May. Due to delays in supply chain and manufacturing slowdowns, we had to push out our testing for about 2 months.
However, we are very close to getting this beast in the field and I hope you can all appreciate the current ruggedness of our build!
Demo Days – Now targeting early August 2020 with Live Streaming Options!
Originally, we planned on holding demo days across the Pacific Northwest sometime in May. Now, we will be targeting early August. Since that is a potentially busy time for some and since we may still be “ordered” to be “socially distant” – we are going to get creative and offer Live Streaming opportunities in the various regions. That way, if you can’t make it in person, you can still attend virtually…more to come on that front!
A few growers have reached out to find out when HydroSide units will be ready because of the labor issues they are facing right now. We are doing our best to overcome the challenges in this unprecedented time and we will get our products tested and in your hands as soon as possible.
Our goals from the get-go remain unchanging: HydroSide will help you put labor and operating costs back in your pocket and give you more precision and efficiency than ever before for your traveling irrigation!
We welcome any questions you may have and please feel free to email or call me personally at dana@HydroSide.com or (208) 580-4467.
We are praying for endurance, health and safety for you all and are grateful knowing that you are #StillFarming!
God Bless,
Dana
